	Provenance Each ingredient of each product is fully traceable. Whites products where applicable use only ingredients produced under a recognised assurance scheme, for example in the UK.

	Top Quality Ingredients Whites products are premium quality products and are made with quality ingredients. Fresh ingredients are used where possible. Using frozen, canned or dried ingredients could have a detrimental effect on the organoleptic quality of the finished product. For example: • No frozen meat and vegetables. • No dried herbs. • No canned or dried fruit and vegetables. • No powdered milk. • Fresh pasta should be used as a preference to dried. Recipes contain natural ingredients, being more like home-made, traditional recipes rather than manufactured. For example: Use of cornflour instead of modified maize starch. Use of pure fruit juices not concentrates.

	Artificial Additives In line with the premium status of the Whites, it is the aim that products will be developed to be free from artificial additives (including nature-identical). The following are not permitted in Whites brand products: • Artificial or nature identical colours. • Artificial or nature identical flavourings. • Artificial flavour enhancers. There may be some exceptions where additives are required for technical or food safety functions (preservatives in bacon, ham, pâté etc.) or for processing needs (improvers in bread). These should only be used by exception.

Whenever you see the Red Tractor logo, you can be assured of certain guarantees with the products you are buying. This food standards mark ensures that food safety and hygiene standards, as well as animal welfare and environmental standards, have been maintained from farm to fork.

The MSC logo is an established internationally recognised eco-label. It is your assurance that the fish you are supplied is from a sustainable source, and has not contributed to the global problem of over-fishing.

The code that appears under the logo is 3663's chain of custody certificate number. This number means that the MSC-labelled fish you receive from Whites, exclusive to 3663, can be traced all the way back through the supply chain to the certified sustainable fishery that caught it. The logo will appear on the packaging for all MSC approved products in the Whites range.
